IMMANUEL

Everyone Belongs

Our Story

Since 1880

Immanuel, a congregation located in Wright City, Missouri, is United Church of Christ. We offer members and friends a chance to become part of something greater. To express their love of God to all.

Worship is celebrated in candlelight, church hymns, the organ, ringing church bells, prayer & blessing, and children's church. We value the Bible, relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and believe worship is something that can be expressed in everything we do.

We welcome all and share an open communion table. No matter who you are, there’s a special place for you at our church. Get in touch today or visit in person.

Meet Our Pastor

Rev Dr Kim Purl

Pastor Kim has served as Immanuel's pastor since July 2023. Sharing how to enjoy tough Bible passages and emancipate scriptures is her love.

She is a wife, mother to 4, a caregiver, and gardening lover. Thai, Eastern Indian, and Chai (tea) happen to be her favorite treats. One of her life goals is to travel to Australia to visit her husband's extended family someday.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Rev. Dr. Reinhold Niebuhr
